Piaget Altiplano Appears in Mark Ronson’s Video

Internationally renowned as one of the world’s most prestigious watchmakers and jewelers, Piaget appears in Mark Ronson’s video for the debut single Bang Bang Bang from the upcoming album Record Collection.

Mark Ronson, one of the worlds finest DJs and music producers, is widely considered as a real visionary who knows how to take contemporary pop music’s big hitters and successfully re-interpret them. His second album, Version (with covers of songs by bands such as Radiohead, Coldplay, The Smiths) included three top ten hits and won Ronson a Brit Award for Best Male Artist in 2008. Few producers could boast as prolific a schedule over the past months as Ronson, who produced tracks on albums of Christina Aguilera, Robbie Williams, Lily Allen, Amy Winehouse, amongst others.

The first single Bang Bang Bang combines cutting edge surrealism with a retro stage space to create an unforgettable performance piece. The video opens with a contemporary and fashionable Ronson dressed in a white dial Piaget Altiplano watch. Upon placing the ultra-thin classic watch over his right eye with military precision, he is transported by a surreal lightshow into a futuristic club performance atmosphere. To complete this transformation, the sleek black and diamond Altiplano appears in place of the previous Piaget Altiplano.

The face of the timepiece has been designed like that of a vinyl record, highlighting Ronson’s modern and hip DJ style. Both watches are equipped with a Manufacture Piaget 430P mechanical hand-wound ultra-thin movement.

What appealed to jet-setter Mark Ronson was a combination of the elegance and technical features of the Piaget Altiplano, along with the originality displayed by Piaget in introducing an Altiplano designed like a vinyl disc. Vacheron Constantin Sponsored The New York Observer’s Power 100 List

Vacheron Constantin becomes the sponsor of the New York Observer’s Power 100 list for 2010. The list is well known as the recognition of New York City’s 100 most influential players in the real estate industry. The celebration event t for this list of 2010 was held on June 10th at the 21 Club in midtown New York.

This event featured many important people, including Mayor Michael Bloomberg (who dropped from No. 4 in 2009 to No. 9), as well as Stephen Ross (No. 1 on the list) of the Related Companies, state Assembly Speaker Sheldon Silver, David Levinson of L&L Holding (and the Yankees), and legal legend Jonathan Mechanic of Fried Frank.

Concord in the 2010 FIFA World Cup with Javier Matías Pastore

Concord is now proud to announce that Javier Matías Pastore becomes the brand’s spokesman for the 2010 FIFA World Cup in South Africa. During the great event, the gifted Argentina football player will wear the C1 Chronograph timepiece, of course except in the playing time.

Javier Matías Pastore, born in Córdoba, Argentina in 1989, is a very young professional football talent from Argentina who currently plays with the Italian Serie A club Palermo. Following a string of good performances in his first season at Italian Serie A level , Argentina head coach Diego Maradona decided to call up Pastore for national squad duty. And now he is playing in the Argentina national team competing for the World Cup trophy in South Africa.

I have seen the match of Argentina vs Nigeria. At that time, all my attention was focused on Messi, so I did not observe Pastore. And now, I am extremely looking forward to his performance in the next match.

The watch is the latest model of the C1 collection, called C1 Pure Chronograph. Its 44mm stainless steel case is made of 53 elements. A metal protective ring coated in white rubber and fixed laterally by 7 self-blocking screws is enhanced by eight decorative elements straddling the bezel. These bastions protect a spectacular 3.30 mm thick sapphire crystal, which literally emerges from the case and displays a 3-layer white fiber-glass like dial with its distinctive Concord seconds disk. This timepiece, holding a mechanical, self-winding Valgranges movement with a 48-hour power reserve, is certified by the official Swiss Chronometer Testing Institute (COSC). It is presented on a white rubber strap with folding clasp and is water-resistant to a pressure of 20 ATM.

Ebel 1911 Tekton Real Madrid Watch Joined In Real Madrid

Real Madrid, the world’s most legendary football club, has recently received the 1911 Tekton Real Madrid watch, which was created by Ebel as great tribute to the most famous football team. The watch serves as the witness of the association between the two century-old brand names boasting proud traditions and global recognition.

On behalf of the club, the Real Madrid Director General and Presidential Aid, Jorge Valdano, took the exclusive 500-piece limited-edition model from Marc Michel-Amadry, President and Creative Director of the Swiss watch brand Ebel. The private encounter happened in an office of the Santiago Bernabeu stadium.

The watch is very special due to its three-dimensional architecture, as well as its “Madridistas” chronograph function, blue dial flange and gold seconds. The face of the Ebel watch is dug deep reminding the bowl of the Santiago Bernabeu stadium, the home of Real Madrid. Hublot Presents a New Gold Watch for FIFA World Cup 2010

With the most prestigious agreement with FIFA, Swiss watchmaker Hublot will serve as the Official Timekeeper and Official Watch for World Cup 2010 and 2014 (more information here). While the great event comes next month, Hublot is pleased to release the inaugural, official FIFA World Cup Watch. Only 100 numbered pieces are made available for the watch.

Almost sculptured entirely from 18K pink gold, the FIFA World Cup Watch features the brand’s newly introduced “Classic Fusion” case measuring 45mm. The satin-finished dial is protected by a sapphire crystal with inner AR-coating, in line with the monotone theme. At the 6 o’clock is a subtle tone-on-tone illustration of the prestigious FIFA World Cup Trophy, along with a date window at 3 o’clock. The Trophy is also in a larger drawing engraved on the solid-gold caseback. The new watch with no doubt demonstrates a perfect blend of sport and luxury.

The classic gold case houses an automatic-winding HUB1112 caliber. The 21-jewel movement beats at 28,800 vph and offers a power reserve of 42 hours. The bridges are satin-finished, bevelled & polished, with black PVD titanium screws and a rotor done in tungsten carbide with black PVD treated dimpled surface. The main plate sandblasted and rhodium-plated. An adjustable black Alligator Gummy strap adds the final touch to the watch.

Finally, I am surprised about the simplicity and understatement expressed by the new Hublot World Cup timepiece. However, no one can deny it is a good prelude for the coming World Cup 2010.

Lionel Messi Becomes the New Audemars Piguet Icon

Messi is one of my favorite football players who are still active in the field. I view him as the successor of Zinedine Zidane, the greatest soccer in my heart. Three Jaeger-LeCoultre Masterpieces Co-Star with Robert Downey in Iron Man 2

The highly anticipated blockbuster film Iron Man 2 is soon to be released. In the film, Robert Downey Jr , playing billionaire inventor Tony Stark, dons three special co-stars – the Jaeger-LeCoultre AMVOX 3 Tourbillion in Platinum, a Master Grand Tourbillon 1833, and a Reverso Grande 985 worth 8,750 dollars . Based on the legendary Marvel Super Hero Iron Man, the movie reunites director Jon Favreau and Oscar nominee Robert Downey. The film’s Los Angeles premier on April 26 saw the presence of lots of celebrities, including Gwyneth Paltrow reprising her role as Pepper Potts, Don Cheadle co-staring as James “Rhodey” Rhodes, Scarlett Johansson, Mickey Rourke, and Samuel L. Jackson.

Ralph Lauren Inaugurated His New Dedicated Watch Boutique in France

Ralph Lauren , one of the most legendary icons in the fashion world, has recently inaugurated his first space dedicated entirely to watches in France. It is a welcoming watch salon located in the flagship Ralph Lauren store in Paris. And to mark his great achievements in world fashion, President of France Nicolas Sarkozy presenting the country awarded the Chevalier de la Legion d’Honneur medal to Mr.Ralph Lauren, at the Elysee Palace in Paris.

“I wanted to create a unique environment that captures the glamour, culture, and the artistic spirit of the Paris that I have fallen in love with;” said Ralph Lauren, Chairman and CEO of Polo Ralph Lauren. “Now, with this store opening in the most romantic part of the city, I finally feel I have been able to tell my whole story in Paris.”

As Ralph Lauren’s largest boutique, coming in at nearly 23,000 square feet (2,150 square meters), Ralph Lauren flagship store in Paris houses the new section completely for luxury watches. The 20-square-meter watch boutique occupies the space’s premiere location. Upon entering, the space manned by one of three full-time watch experts is located immediately to the right. The space right across houses the accessories boutique, while Ralph’s-a restaurant featuring beef from Lauren’s own ranch-occupies the rest of the ground floor area. The upper four floors are taken up with fashion.

The chic boutique highlights all variations of Ralph Lauren’s three existing model lines: the Ralph Lauren Stirrup, the Slim Classique, and the Sporting, including the novelties presented at SIHH 2010 and BaselWorld 2010. Moreover, there will be a special edition Stirrup strap available in denim-blue alligator skin, exclusively offered in this watch salon.

The dedicated watch section is all about luxury and service. The interior has been restored in the French rococo style, creating a luxurious private library atmosphere. Jaeger-LeCoultre and Marc Newson Present the Atmos 566

Last week, the CEO of Jaeger-LeCoultre Jerome Lambert and the Australian designer Marc Newson proudly presented the their newest creation – Atmos 566, in the Press Conference held in Milan with the attendance of more than 80 persons.

In 2008, to celebrate the 80th birthday of the Atmos, the famous Australian designer was given carte blanche to recreate the legendary clock. Housed in a bubble block of Baccarat crystal, the Atmos 561 gazed eyes with its ultimately pure and contemporary lines and curves.

As the new year started, the designer started the renewal of the crystallization of his cooperation with Jaeger-LeCoultre. Consumed by the enchantment of sophisticated horological mechanisms, he decided to endow the Calibre 566 movement with a brand new external design. The result is truly majestic: the heart of the Atmos Astronomique presented in 2008 transforms Baccarat crystal into a second skin. There are two variations for the new Atmos clock – a limited edition of 28 items in blue and a restricted series of 48 translucent pieces.

With a generously proportioned cabinet, the complicated mechanism is enabled to be illuminated by the light flooded in. Hublot Established a Prestigious Association with FIFA

For an ambitious watch maker, the best way to maintain success lies in the association between itself and interests its enthusiasts and exitsting customers have. Obiviously, the watch brand Hublot knows how to hold this key tightly. Just a few days that the company signed itself as the “Official Watch Maker” of Formula 1, Hublot, at last weekends, joined FIFA to announce that the brand would be the “Official Watchmaker” for the coming FIFA World CupsTM to be held in South Africa in June and Brazil in 2014.

No one can deny that Hublot is one of the best watchmakers at aligning itself with sports and other events that are highly popular around the world. From becoming the sponsor of the Swiss team in 2006 and an official partner of Euro 2008, to the recent partnership with Diego Maradona, and now signing one of its most prestigious agreements with FIFA – Hublot has a long and illustrious history in the football world. I look forward very much to seeing what interesting limited edition timepieces the brand will release for the World Cup, one of the world’s most popular sports event.
